Happy New Year to my clients, followers and readers of this blog, may 2013 bring you good health, happiness and success in whatever endeavour or goal you may have for the coming year.
As we start the year, I am pleased to announce the launch of my newly redesigned real estate website at www.propertycollingwood.com. Those of you that access this blog through my site will by now have noticed a new look. This is the fourth iteration of my real estate website in the past 10 years and it will by no means be the last. Websites are not a "static" entity whereby once you have one you're done. Since my first site back in 2001/2002, I have tried to offer consumers an assortment of meaningful real estate related information that will help them with their real estate buying and or selling decisions. This concept has continued to expand as "content" has become increasingly important to today's online consumers and it is the primary way to engage with your client and potential ones.
Many of today's marketing initiatives are anything but "today" and in my opinion the real estate profession is one of the worst culprits in using outdated, self serving marketing practices. I confess that I am not a photo guy. You will not see my face on my business cards, bus benches, bill boards or elsewhere. While that may be regarded as branding, to me it offers little to no value to consumers, consumers that in today's world demand more.
Via my website, this blog and through an increased presence in social media such as my Facebook business page, my goal in 2013 is to engage and enlighten my followers with information that will hopefully both enlighten and entertain you whether it be real estate relate related, community affairs and or other information of interest to you.
As always your comments are encouraged and appreciated. Once again have a Happy New Year and I look forward to hearing from you.
